Singapore Smart Water Grid

Transforming water management in Singapore with smart sensors, saving 10 million gallons daily

Singapore’s Smart Water Grid project is a nationwide initiative to modernise the city-state’s water supply network. This comprehensive project involves installing over 300,000 smart water meters, implementing real-time leak detection systems and integrating AI-driven predictive maintenance across the entire water supply infrastructure.

Once fully implemented, the Smart Water Grid is expected to reduce water losses due to leaks and inefficiencies by up to 5%, saving approximately 10 million gallons of water daily. The system will also enable more accurate water consumption forecasting, potentially reducing energy consumption in water treatment and distribution by 12%.

Our consultancy assisted our client who was responsible for installing the IoT sensor network. We provided expertise in cybersecurity protocols for critical infrastructure and helped optimise their deployment strategy. Our involvement enabled the subcontractor to complete their phase of the project 10% ahead of schedule while ensuring the highest data security standards.
